POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is responsible for the daily
administrative and HR duties of the organization while providing a high level of customer service to
both internal and external customers; providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries, meeting
recurring deadlines and maintaining confidentiality in all areas of Human Resources. This position
carries out responsibilities to include assisting with recruitment, onboarding, new employee orientation, credentialing, record maintenance, performance management, learning development, and other duties as assigned to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department. This position has the responsibility of demonstrating the core values of CareSTL Health: Customer Service, Community, Commitment, Compassion, and Competence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the
tasks that may be assigned. The Human Resources Assistant may be reassigned duties and
responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties
may be assigned.
1. Provide administrative support to assigned team members, which include scheduling,
meeting coordination, material preparation, data entry, making travel arrangements and
processing expense reports.
2. Handles incoming phone calls, correspondence, and emails, identifying critical items for
action and quickly prioritizes and initiates preliminary materials needed by each executive.
3. Support the Human Resources team by assisting with various
processes and initiatives to include recruitment, onboarding, performance management,
learning and development.
4. Establish, update, and maintain all employee files following established
procedures, files documents promptly, and retrieves information as requested.
5. Coordinates meeting and event registration and logistics, which include securing a space, arranging for refreshments, preparing materials, and confirming participant reservations and attendance.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all required documentation is on file for each employee.
- Maintain quality service by following the organization's standards.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and
- Experience working within a matrix organization; track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally with
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Ability to thrive under agile environment
- Ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking

Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post and annual screening(s).

- Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry

- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
