Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced enterprise-level Operational Telecom Manager to manage their telecom operations across 4,000 locations with 75 different service providers. This person will be responsible for streamlining their telecom infrastructure, managing projects, and leading a small 6-person team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Optimization: Oversee telecom services, resolve redundancy issues, and implement performance improvements.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate multiple telecom projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Handle relationships with 75 service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure service quality.
  • Procurement: Manage procurement processes for telecom services and equipment, aiming for cost-effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of telecom professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Administration: Maintain records, prepare reports, and handle documentation related to telecom operations. Prepare and present reports on telecom performance, project status, and budget utilization.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of proven experience managing telecom operations, projects, and people within a large distributed enterprise with a large variety of locations
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience working with a large variety of telecom/internet providers
  • Experienced working with MetTel, Business Telecom Voice, Network & Mobility Services
  • Strong skills in vendor management, procurement, and optimization
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Technical background in Telecom, Networking and other Infrastructure related field
  • Business analysis and report analysis experience preferred
  • Any telecom-related certifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Visio)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to guide and mentor team members to grow professionally
  • Adaptable and capable of learning new systems and methodologies
  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Business Administration, or related field
