Provides cost and trend analysis and resolutions to critical cloud Infrastructure problems. Acts as a technical escalation point for team members. Responsibilities: PLAN: Works with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and design technical solutions to meet various healthcare and research community needs. Conducts advanced research on new technologies and techniques, providing recommendations and roadmaps for implementation. Recommends appropriate technologies for the technology domain(s) within the scope of responsibility. DELIVER: Deploys and maintains hyperconverged systems and solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. Manages and supports Windows, Linux, Azure & VMware infrastructure. Administers and supports the backup and recovery infrastructure. Develops support plan with key IT stakeholders. Services, incidents, and changes request ticket management Provides on-call and after-hours support to address incidents, maintain infrastructure and support operational efforts. COLLABORATE: Works closely with architects and stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure initiatives are successfully implemented. Works closely with network, security, development, application, and support teams in the implementation of infrastructure components that support emerging technologies and applications. Mentors/develops more junior level infrastructure engineers. CONSULT: Serves as liaison between operations and architecture teams. Escalation point for server and operations teams. Reviews proposed designs/architectures, identifying risks and providing remediation recommendations in line with established standards and the enterprise’s overall architecture.
