Supervise and coordinate other engineers Solve problems by using a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments Complete independent studies, analyses, interpretations. and conclusions Give technical guidance and mentor engineers Able to work without supervision and review of work for technical accuracy Able to be given an opportunity and can then define the scope of work to accomplish Coordinate and assign project work with other disciplines to meet client's safety, cost, quality, schedule, technical and operability objectives Work closely with program lead to monitor project performance metrics in order to ensure scope, schedule and budget are meeting expectations. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficiency with computerized project management and reporting tools - required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Supervisory Experience -- required Experience developing and approving pipe specifications. Experience in design, specification, application, and modification of rotating and fixed equipment, such as: Pressure vessels Heat exchangers Pumps Compressors Turbines Experience in: Equipment drawing review and approval P&ID development and review Material selection Piping layout Pipe Stress Analysis. Excellent working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes, API standards, and other industry standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of inter-discipline requirements Strong organizational skills. Strong understanding of consultant engineering workflow and project execution. Strong computer skills - Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel) and engineering software programs, such as CAESAR II, COMPRESS, and FEA programs. Capable of some travel and remote site assignments. Applicants must be able to obtain a TWIC card. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university or equivalent PE preferred 8-25 years engineering experience - preferably in the petrochemical industry with a strong background in Oil and Gas Production and Refining, Gas Compression and Transmission. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
