What is the work?

Information Technology / Troubleshooting:
  • Receives / assesses / prioritizes / investigates / resolves / tracks trouble tickets related to LAN/WAN equipment, PCs, laptops, voice / data communications, iOS Devices, etc.
  • Provides services on infrastructure / system design, configuration, and support; applies mastery and understanding of how hardware / software components deliver H-E-B infrastructure strategy
  • Installs / troubleshoots / documents / supports one or more hardware or software technologies that comprise H-E-B's infrastructure with guidance and supervision by more senior Partners
  • Works with vendors to manage installation / troubleshooting / support of H-E-B infrastructure
  • Provides on-call and after-hours technology support for Admin , MWT , Store , Warehouse locations
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to review blueprints / create orders for F&E Team to process for new facility builds, remodels
  • Documents / trains on new hardware and software systems
  • Works with Innovations Team to install / test new hardware and software
  • Supports various projects and rollouts; tracks time and projects via software
  • Manages department requests for change (RFC)
  • Performs Tech Specialist I-2 duties
  • Applies knowledge and understanding to contribute to system design, configuration, and support of the following areas
Hardware:
  • Supports ground-up build from MDF, including network / server infrastructure, structured cabling, and WAN services
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure changes are complete (e.g., power, data, installations, removals)
  • New concepts / innovations
  • Network (including wireless) infrastructure
  • Windows / Apple Mac PCs and laptops
  • iOS / Android devices
  • AV / conference room systems
  • Network printers
  • Phone system management
  • Access control; burglary systems; camera / surveillance systems
Software:
  • Windows, Mac operating systems and systems management consoles
  • Platform management systems (e.g., antivirus, patch management, software deployment, inventory mgmt)
  • MS Exchange and Unified Communications
  • MS Active Directory, other LDAP tools
  • MS Office 365
  • Zoom Collaboration Tools
What is your background?
  • A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 2+ years of experience providing user support of Mac and Windows systems, Conference rooms hardware and software support, Telephony support (software and hardware)
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record (no DUIs) to drive company vehicle
