Description

We are seeking a Senior Program Risk Manager to support a Modernization Program for our National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) client. The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying and managing program risks, as well as providing technical and programmatic risk management support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Federal Program Office (FPO) and NNSA National Labs and nuclear weapon production facilities. This is a full-time contractor position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Albuquerque, NM.

  • Ensure implementation of sound risk and issue management practices
  • Provide expertise in proactive risk identification and management
  • Continuously monitor the program for potential risks and assess their impact
  • Develop effective risk handling strategies and issue management plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate and address risks effectively
  • Produce recurring risk reports and foster a risk-aware culture within the program
  • Ensure compliance with best practices in risk management
  • Facilitate programmatic risk management meetings
  • Evaluate risk mitigation costs and track risk information in the repository

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or High school diploma with 12+ years of experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret or Active DOE Q security clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in NNSA/DOD interagency and nuclear weapons
  • Knowledge of ARM software and Deltek Acumen Fuse
  • Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) Certification
  • Experience with risk management for NNSA weapons programs

Salary Range: $120K to $130K
