Job Description

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Program Risk Management Specialist to support the Modernization Program for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The ideal candidate will provide technical and programmatic risk management support for program risks at the NNSA, serving as the primary interface between the Federal Program Office (FPO) and NNSA National Labs.

This individual must have NNSA risk management expertise or a background in technical risk management with a willingness to learn. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing sound risk and issue management practices to ensure the program's success.
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing risks to minimize their impact on the program.
  • Monitoring the program for potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Assessing risks using qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop risk handling strategies and ensure effective communication.
  • Communicating risk-related information to stakeholders and fostering a culture of risk awareness.
  • Leading programmatic risk management meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as risk management, business administration, or engineering.
  • Active DoD Top Secret or Active DOE Q security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex risk management concepts.
  • Experience in cost and schedule risk impact analysis, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • PMP Certification, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NNSA/DOD interagency experience, with a strong understanding of NNSA risk management policies and procedures.
  • Nuclear weapons experience, with a strong understanding of the NNSA's mission and goals.
  • Experience with ARM software for project risk management, with a strong understanding of risk management tools and techniques.
  • PMI-RMP Certification, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Experience with NNSA weapons programs, with a strong understanding of the program's goals and objectives.

Salary Range: $120K to $130K
