About the Account Manager:

MarketStar is looking for a motivated Account Manager to represent the leading customer engagement platform for marketing, sales, support, and payment. Bird (formerly Message Bird) uses the power of AI and cutting-edge innovation to enable 25,000+ businesses to transform communications, workflows and customer engagement. What Will You Do?

  • Lead a customer outreach process that will include calls and emails to build and manage external customer relationships with continued account support.
  • Work with existing customers to build brand awareness and increase their usage and spend with the client brand we represent.
  • Use client provided and self- guided training resources to stay up to date on knowledge of the product.
  • Articulate technical and business value propositions to prospective new clients.
  • Adopt a trusted advisor role with prospects by being knowledgeable, assertive, present and relevant.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and conduct stakeholder mapping to broaden the reach.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Bird and their clients.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business growth through renewals, cross selling and upselling.
  • Analyse account performance and providing insights to improve client satisfaction and increase revenue.
  • Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle; address any issues or concerns clients may have an provide prompt resolutions.
  • Prepare and run regularly scheduled performance reviews monthly/quarterly business reviews where appropriate with large clients.
  • Internally and externally provide customer sentiment insights including product feedback, key industry learnings, etc.
  • Execute proven processes and analyze data to make informed decisions, find creative solutions that drive results.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and advancements.


What Will You Need to Succeed?
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in B2B sales, customer success, account management, or related field; experience in SaaS, IT Services, or system integration space preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, business or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, developing trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to clients in a clear and relatable manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to listen actively to understand client needs and concerns showing attentiveness to the customer's needs.
  • Skilled in presenting ideas and solutions persuasively.
  • Experience managing client expectations and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ability to analyse data and client feedback to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address client issues and find effective solutions
  • Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, and professional; able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, GSuite, and general sales tools such as CRMs.
  • Determination to learn and be coached with a positive attitude and openness to receive constructive feedback.
