Job Summary
The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for aiding technicians, Leads and construction managers in the field through various channels of communication.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Ability to meet Charter Crim Shield background requirements.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office software including Excel
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the jobs within a set geographical area to ensure timeframes are met. Researching work order history and communicating that to our field personnel.
  • Communicating via email or phone with our customer on estimated times of arrival. Assisting technicians through Workforce Management with
  • Verifying all incomplete jobs with Technicians and Charter. Verifying that all pictures have been provided for these jobs and submitting this information.
  • Scheduling 'pre-bury' and 'post-bury' jobs in the Carolinas.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to various levels of the organization.
  • Consistently perform all duties and responsibilities according to production and quality standards and provide high quality customer service.
  • Ensure required reports are timely, accurate and complete.
  • Call customers with estimated times of arrival on late workorders.
  • Take all company phone calls and send them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Check metrics for installation technicians on "call to close" list.
  • Enter labor hours for our construction department.
  • Fill out Construction Street sheets and send them to our customer.
  • Print maps and workorders for construction foreman.
  • Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
  • Follow and enforce the Company's policies and procedures
  • Additional responsibilities may arise as dictated by our customer.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of previous high-volume dispatching experience
  • Telecommunications or cable industry work experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


Working Conditions- Office environment, shifts are three days on and four offs
