Job Description: Clerical Support
Exeter Adult Education has an immediate opening a clerical support staff member for Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
The responsibilities include answering the telephone and greeting office visitors, word processing, filing, duplicating and distributing information, and performing a variety of other clerical duties. Communicates with staff and the public. Maintains confidentiality.
Functions:
- Greets and guides people (teachers, tutors, students, visitors) ensuring current safety protocols are followed.
- Manage building access
- Performs record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, mailings, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or materials as needed.
- Filing- information in files
- Files- maintaining, moving
- Reviews attendance from all classes. Communicate (through a variety of modes) with absent students to determine reasons for absence following set procedures. Record communications. Follow-up with staff as needed.
- Provide comments to attendance document when necessary.
