- Admit patients to the Health Center for overnight observation and treatment as needed.
- Perform various medical procedures, including blood draws, medication administration, and immunizations, as ordered by healthcare providers.
- Provide one-on-one support to patients who require close monitoring and care.
- General Health Services Support
- Build trust and rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Utilize teaching and counseling skills to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to confidentiality policies.
- Adhere to established protocols and procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Education
- Current RN licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
- Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working with adolescents in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of professional nursing principles, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to analyze emergency situations accurately and take prompt action.
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to registered nursing.
- Patient assessment skills.
- Ability to apply good clinical judgment.
- Ability to plan work, establish priorities, and remain flexible.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships.

- Demonstrated ability to work with students, building trust and credibility.

- The physical demands of this role are in excess of those for sedentary work, requiring the ability to remain standing for extended periods, go up and down flights of stairs, lift and push heavy objects, and perform other physical tasks as necessary.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods.
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.

- This position is considered Essential Personnel in the event of an emergency or inclement weather, requiring the ability to report to or remain at work as instructed by the supervisor or other designated personnel.
