New York, United States Stripe Full time
Who we are
About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team

We're helping ambitious startups and the world's most successful companies build products, create new business models, and scale their efforts globally. In pursuit of this mission, the Global Partnerships team is responsible for developing, executing, and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives that enable Stripe's product and payments ecosystem.

We're looking for someone to join the Partnerships team to lead the Global Networks Partner Strategic Operations (PSO) team. The team is responsible for driving new partner implementations and programs and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of new and existing partners. We sit at the intersection of engineers and partners, serving as the fabric that ensures close and smooth collaboration between these parties, both of which are crucial to Stripe's continued rapid growth. We wear a lot of hats. On any given day, you can find us, for example, driving alignment, coordination, and execution between cross-functional teams and partners on critical operational activities; identifying and investigating insights and trends from our data to inform decisions for streamlining the day-to-day management of our business; and building new tools and processes to scale our team's impact. The partners we support have a significant impact on Stripe, and the products from these partnerships are used by millions of our users.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of Partner Operations Managers who work across the Global Networks pillar
  • Align with Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to properly meet the operational and technical needs of our Global Networks pillar
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Partner Managers to develop and execute reliability and SLA strategies to drive operational excellence
  • Develop relationships with executive counterparts at key partners and facilitate interaction between our Product and Engineering leaders and their counterparts within partner organizations
  • Be responsible for meeting and beating Partner Health metrics
  • Inspire, motivate and enable development of team members to promote career growth and impact for Stripe
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, operations, or strategic project management in the payment/fintech industry (banks, networks and/or fintech startups in the payments space)
  • 2+ years in management and the ability to hire, train and coach a high-performing team of program managers
  • Previous experience in or related to the Tech/Startup/Scaleup ecosystem
  • Strong product instincts and ability to identify opportunities for Stripe to leverage partners' existing and in-development products, as well as the ability to collaborate with Stripe's Product and Engineering organization to build world-class features for our users
  • Proven ability to successfully drive medium-to-large sized technical projects with external partners and cross-functional internal stakeholders
  • An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a "users first" mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including the ability to speak to different constituencies such as business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
Preferred qualifications
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skill
