About the Team
The vendor management team at Stripe is responsible for creating a high-performing, scalable, and sustainable vendor ecosystem. We work closely with our vendor partners to deliver a superior user experience and drive business growth. As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will be part of this team, working closely with cross-functional leaders and operational teams to ensure that our vendors meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Own Operational Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners in user operations, external vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Hold Partners Accountable: Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that performance and contractual commitments are met, and that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Manage Vendor Sites: Oversee the management of vendor sites, including contracts, commercials, staffing, and delivery of required inputs from vendors. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure that sites are enabled to meet Stripe's standards.
- Lead Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with vendors to drive KPI performance and ensure that metrics and analysis are maintained. Provide regular reporting on performance to stakeholders.
- Improve Workflow Management: Conduct deep dives to improve workflow management and workforce management practices at vendor sites, ensuring optimal practices for adherence to Stripe-defined workflows.
- Be an Expert on Stripe Products: Act as an onsite coach and key bridge between external partners and internal Stripe teams to deliver measurable process improvements.
- Transmit and Foster Stripe's Values: Serve as a beacon of Stripe's user-centric philosophy and culture of transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
Requirements
- 5+ Years of Direct Vendor Management Experience: Proven experience in managing vendor operations teams, preferably in high-growth technology companies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write simple queries and run data analysis on Tableau, SQL, or equivalent.
- Operational Background: A track-record of making data-driven decisions and executing on complex operational projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Managing Large Cross-Functional Projects: Proven ability to manage large cross-functional and global projects, with a track-record of taking projects from conception to launch.
- Strong Analytical Thinking: Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use first-principles thinking and data to structure strategic recommendations.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $104,800 - $157,200. Additional benefits for this role may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
