Position: Mental Health Assessment Specialist

Unit: Intake, Behavioral Health

Location: 901 Kirchhoff Rd. ,Arlington Heights ( on hospital Campus)

Hours: 11pm-730am / Every other weekend required

On Call: yes- once every 4 weeks

Shift: Night shift

Part time/Full Time: Part Time / 40 hours every 2 weeks.

What you will need:

  • LSW, LPC,orRegistered Nurserequired.
  • LCSW, LCPC or Psy.D preferred
  • Minimum of two yearsrecent experience in a crisis/emergency services behavioral health settingrequired.
  • CurrentCPRcertification from American Association.
  • KnowledgeofDSM5(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders),ICD-10,and behavioral health medical necessity guidelines.
  • Thoroughknowledge of the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code.

General Summary:

Reporting to the Behavior Health Manager of Intake Services, performs mental health assessments for hospital patients and customers. Performs comprehensive clinical assessments and completes pre-certifications for insurance companies and required admission documentation. Provides treatment referrals that are consistent with the customer's medical and psychiatric status and symptoms
