The Assessment and Referral (Intake) Call Specialist’s responsibilities include the following:
- Receive referral calls and obtain some demographic information and forward it to the appropriate assessor or schedule an assessment.
- Process requests for information from external referrals.
- Assist in arranging admission of patients.
- Assist in completing appropriate release of information documents.
- Maintaining Assessment data regarding patient intakes and inquiries.
Qualified candidates for Assessment and Referral (Intake) Call Specialist should have the following:
- High School Diploma; bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field strongly preferred
- One year experience in an intake department or business office strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills
