Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work effectively with fellow healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Manage Client Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and assessment information.
- Participate in Training and Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Provide Direct Care: Deliver direct care to program participants, including implementing treatment plans and providing support services.
- Assess and Document Client Progress: Regularly assess client progress and document findings in client records.
- Manage Caseload: Maintain a caseload of multiple clients, ensuring timely and effective support services.
- Reduce Risk of Out-of-Home Placement: Work with clients and their families to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement or assist in the return from out-of-home placement.
- Attend Supervision and Meetings: Attend weekly supervision with the Clinical Supervisor and participate in team meetings as required.
- Culturally Competent Care: Demonstrate an awareness, appreciation, and respect for diverse cultures and individual differences of clients and fellow employees.
- Utilize Approved Skills Curriculum: Utilize approved skills curriculum with youth, adults, and families to help improve behavior and achieve treatment goals.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain accurate and concise documentation of all services, contacts, and collaboration with clients, families, and community partners.
- Provide Crisis Services: Provide or secure support and crisis/emergency services for clients by phone contact or in-person.
- Maintain Electronic Records: Maintain all client documentation in the electronic record system and ensure adherence to requirements set forth in all state and federal rules and regulations.
- Complete Additional Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or other authorized personnel.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a human services-related field required.
- Registration: Must hold current registration as a QMHP from the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
- Experience: At least one year of experience providing mental health services preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
