The ideal candidate will have extensive technical accounting experience, a strong leadership presence and a passion for cross-functional collaboration. This is a high-visibility role which offers significant individual responsibility and the opportunity to influence decision-making at an industry-leading organization. Conducts thorough technical accounting research and analysis on complex accounting issues, including preparing detailed memos and other documentation. Presents conclusions to senior leadership as needed, influencing strategic decision-making within the organization Develops accounting policies and works with various teams to ensure consistent application and adherence to US GAAP Owns purchase accounting activities related to the company’s acquisitions, including valuation of intangible assets, as well as accounting considerations related to divestitures Stays informed of emerging accounting trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address potential impacts to the organization Leads internal trainings to educate participants and upskill the organization on the company’s accounting policies, as well as emerging topics and regulatory developments Builds relationships and collaborates with cross-functional areas, including corporate accounting, business leads, FP&A, legal, IT and human resources, to assess and address accounting implications of business transactions and initiatives Provides assistance to external auditors as needed throughout the year Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in areas of responsibility Leads or is a key participant in special projects, such as implementation of new accounting standards and other strategic initiatives, as required #LI-Hybrid #LI-KM1 Bachelor’s degree in accounting; US CPA required 8+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, with a deep understanding of US GAAP.
