Job Overview: The Sales Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Regional Sales Department for our client. This role is pivotal in managing the plant sales force, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with the Southeast Region Director of Sales and Florida Plant General Managers to drive sales performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the Plant Marketing and Sales objectives in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Train and develop Zone Managers to meet sales goals and objectives, measuring and managing their key accountabilities.
  • Solicit retailer/community feedback on product, price-value, and competitive environment, and provide input to develop action plans.
  • Keep up with product trends by working with the National Product Team and plant management teams, providing detailed competitive analysis.
  • Ensure overall territory growth by maximizing distribution opportunities and executing national and regional sales programs.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to ensure product availability in the right markets to meet sales and market share objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure sufficient In-Plant and In-Field Dealer Sales Training.
  • Plan, coordinate, and promote regional trade and local factory shows as appropriate.
  • Maintain cost control to ensure efficient and effective operation of the department within budget.
  • Perform regular market research and competitive analysis to ensure the correct product is being marketed.
