Position Summary:

The Mission Ahead

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies. Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use. Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds. Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

This role will be located in Los Angeles, CA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop effective procurement strategies.

Analyze and evaluate offers from suppliers.

Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

Other duties as required

Qualifications:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.

5+ years of proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer.

BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.

Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market.

Talent in negotiations and networking.

Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.

High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.

Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours

Basic Compensation:

$68,425 USD to $102,695 USD

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
