THE WORK
This role is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. This team manages activities involving the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: industrial, manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality, Lean Six Sigma, test, and tooling. They also support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Support manufacturing to successfully meet quality, cost and schedule objectives.
- Work a variety of different action items and issues.
- Participate and or facilitate OET's.
- Identify root cause and corrective actions using data mining and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Initiate and implement new initiatives.
- Be innovative and look for ways to improve product flow
- Promote the sharing of ideas and teamwork between shifts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a related engineering or business discipline with a strong interest in operation and manufacturing

- Demonstrated leadership qualities and involvement

- Experience in a Manufacturing environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- This position may require special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
