Who are we looking for:

Incumbent of this position shall be a fully qualified and experienced safety and / or environmental professional, who will be required to work independently in the area of expertise and as member of a compliance team in Dhahran Shops. Duties will require assisting the planning, establishing, implementing, maintaining and verifying compliance of safety and environmental standards and initiatives, to ensure compliance with corporate and local departmental HSE requirements and expectations. Reports both internally within the organization department and with other support organizations such as with loss prevention, environmental protection and Operational Excellence where necessary. Incumbent will be expected to travel within kingdom to divisional facilities within the organization department. Mechanical Service Shop Department (MSSD) has state of the art workshops and facilities that are driven by our most valuable asset which is the department’s skilled and experienced workforce. Its primary responsibility is to maintain Saudi organization rotating and stationary equipment. The department plays a vital role in the company as it provides the support to all field organizations by maintaining and repairing the corporate equipment. Key Responsibilities: Provides advice and consultation to department staff to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices. Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Undertakes surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions. Conducts and coordinates on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Provides advice and counsel concerning compliance with corporate safety regulation and procedures. Performs construction site and/or area safety inspections of department facilities and operations. Performs job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepares written reports and recommendations. Develops controls for identified hazards. Coordinates the implementation of controls from results of hazard analyses. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommends changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place incidents and injuries. Prepares safety orientations, safety training, and job site inspection procedures. Directs or assists in the development of specialized education and training materials. Conducts specialized safety and environmental training programs to communicate hazard control information. Assists local management in new employee occupational health, safety and environmental orientation. Participates in Safe Operations Committee meetings. Reviews and analyzes injury, property damage, and statistical loss data and works with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards. Incorporates essential safety requirements in all purchasing and contracting actions. Recommends the purchase of safety equipment, related supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with established company requirements. Maintains awareness of corporate safety requirements and makes recommendations for their implementation. Assists management with monitoring adherence to department safety program by employees and contractors. Performs other related duties per supervisor’s direction. Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will have the following experience and competencies: BS degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or in a related field is preferred in addition to certification for radiation safety officer (RSO). Must have (8) years of related safety/operational experience and/or training, preferably in the oil/gas or petrochemical industry, or in the industry related to the position placement. Must have knowledge or training in the following: occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards. Must have demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on health, safety and environmental training. Must also have ability to assist with developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (training/presentations/report writing). Participate in teams and/or committees. Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields. Interviews Stage: 2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation. If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client. If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer.

3. Conditional Offer: A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
