POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  2. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Scan files and documents for electronic storage.
  3. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  4. Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  5. Assists with new hire orientation process.
  6. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  7. May coordinate the schedule of volunteers.
  8. Will administer the legal poster program (print and electronic).
  9. Administers the agency HR training database, schedules new hire HR training, reaches out to managers if employees get behind in their training, runs reports as necessary.
  10. Administers the volunteer database program including entering data, coordinating the on-line schedule and entry of volunteer hours performed. Process reports as necessary. Work with outside resources to ensure our software programs work as expected.
  11. Provides mail runs for Avery Lane & Bucksport Road locations. Keeps HR file supplies up to date. Process receipts and complete Purchase Request Forms for payment.
  12. Administers the Employee Referral Bonus Program.
  13. Maintains strict confidentiality as required.
