The role of the HR Generalist is to run and assist in the dailyfunctions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring andinterviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing ECMCpolicies and practices. This position is responsible for managing all functionsrelated to the full life-cycle recruitment process. This role works closelywith hiring managers, collaborating, anticipating, and meeting ongoingrecruitment needs. Critical to the role is establishing and maintainingexcellent relations with not only the hiring manager but with prospectivecandidates and the community at-large. Administrative functions includesourcing and identifying qualified candidates, conducting phone screens andinterviews, monitoring candidate movement through the recruitment life cycle,and recommending placement of candidates to fill all ECMC positions (administrative,professional, management, physicians, and C-Suite positions). In addition tothese duties, this role coordinates the administrative requirements of eachbenefit plan, including extensive communication and interaction with employees,insurance brokers, retirement plan providers, and any other benefit provider.To be effective, this role must be a reliable adviser on all employee benefits programs.
Experience & Skills Preferred:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, BusinessAdministration, or related field required, Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years' HR experience required
- Minimum 2 years' recruitmentexperience in healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent skills inorganization, prioritization, and multi-tasking
- Ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationshipsbuilt on trust
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety ofstakeholders
- Demonstrate creativity and success in executing recruitment strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explaindiverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language
- Strong problem solving and negotiating skills
- Strong leadership, ability to influence and persuade - sales skills
- Strong independentjudgment and decision-making skills
- Proven track recordof sourcing talent for hard-to-fill positions
- Familiar with awide variety of sourcing avenues
- Progressive thinker, able to integrate best practices
