Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary: The Emergency Management Coordinator II provides management and leadership for specific areas within the Emergency Management department. Provides guidance and training to entry-level Emergency Management Coordinators.

Additional Department Summary: Along with other duties, the incumbent will manage the continuity of operations program and will serve as part of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) staff during emergencies.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in emergency management; OR master's degree and some experience in emergency management.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to use Microsoft Office, Internet, and Social Media.
Ability to learn Veoci, SharePoint, and WordPress.
Ability to develop emergency plans, exercises, and problem solve.
Ability to build and make presentations.
Ability to teach emergency management topics.

Preferred Qualifications: -Degree in related field
-Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
-Previous work experience in emergency management, public safety agency, or closely related area.
-Extensive knowledge and/or experience in various software applications.
