Position Summary

Salary & Benefits
  • Full Salary Range: $21.50- $31.82/hour - depending on education and experience
  • Anticipated Hiring Range: $21.50 - $26.66 - depending on education and experience
  • Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
  • Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year's Day and over Spring Break)
  • Vacation & Sick Leave: Approximately 17 paid vacation days & 9 paid sick leave days accrued annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Grant Program
•Manages and ensures compliance with the stipulations of the Carl D. Perkins grant program, including alignment of national, statewide, and college goals.
•Prepares the annual Perkins grant application, narrative/progress reports, annual Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment, annual plans, and as needed, performance improvement reports.
•Maintain database for Perkins outcomes reporting.
•Convenes and manages advisory group meetings and special events, per the requirements of the grant. Serve as a resource to advisory groups and stakeholders for information.
•Communicates frequently with staff and faculty regarding utilization of the grant and financial status. Conducts staff and faculty training as needed regarding grant regulations and allowable Perkins-funded projects.
•Engage both internal and external partners in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Perkins-related activities and documentation of these activities.
•Assists CTE staff and faculty and staff with equipment purchases, travel claims, professional development and other Perkins-funded activities.
•Assists in marketing, publicity, and outreach for Perkins-funded projects.
•Provides information for Perkins and CTE webpage in collaboration with the Dean and CCC marketing.
•Ensures compliance with Perkins property management regulations and performs asset/equipment tracking, annual inventory, and initiates property disposal.

Other Externally-Funded CTE Program Support
•Assists in the financial management of externally-funded CTE grants and donations.
•Assists in the preparation of narrative/progress reports for externally-funded CTE projects.
•Initiates requisition of supplies and materials related to externally-funded CTE projects.

College Administration
•Adhere to a professional code of conduct and ethics.
•Promotes the mission, values, purposes, and Strategic Plan of the College and learning college philosophy.
•Provide data analysis and strategic decision support for externally-funded activities and programs.
•Participates in the development, implementation, and assessment of programs.
•Participates in the operation and/or shared governance of the college through college committee assignments and staff meetings.
•Serves as a professional role model for students and colleagues.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, and one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and/or as approved by the Human Resources department.

Preferred
Experience in Career and Technical Education. Experience with grants management and/or as a budget analyst. Experience interacting with staff, students and faculty in a community college setting.
