Job Summary: The Principal HR Business Partner takes the lead in creating solutions and driving efforts within the organization to ensure that talent initiatives are executed and properly aligned with strategic imperatives. The Principal HR Business Partner (Talent Manager) will be a key member of the HR Team and have a strong impact on the organization's talent management strategies. This individual must have a strong ability to create solutions, and influence leaders to support and use exceptional business acumen. This position will be mostly strategic but also drive talent routines and programs with internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A key aspect of this role will be the ownership of the company's approach to all talent development activities including the performance management systems and talent assessments/succession processes.
  • This position must lead the organization towards common talent development approaches that supports effective and efficient assessment and deployment of talent across the organization.
  • Requires in-depth, cross-functional knowledge of multiple parts of the organization.
  • Consult with business leaders to determine current and future talent needs and create a strategy to fulfill those needs.
  • Builds relationships with business, functional, and HR leaders to ensure a focus on building and maintaining a high-performance culture by accurately assessing talent, crafting development plans, and following through on the outcomes of these assessments and actions.
  • You will serve as a seasoned HR Business Partner with a proven track record and is recognized as a Talent Management expert.
  • Create solutions to support talent programs such as LEAD, Rotational, and Internships
  • Ensure that organization-wide talent management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Proactively drive internal talent mobility to ensure the right talent is placed in the most critical areas of the business.
  • Provide expertise and support in the implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals
  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide talent-driven solutions.
  • Drive talent management programs including succession management, performance management, and calibration sessions.
  • Drives employee engagement results and turns them into clear actions to help increase employee output and retention.
  • Highest level of influence on the organization as an individual contributor within their respective discipline
  • Understands and articulates business needs and translates them into HR solutions, strategies, and tactics.
  • Takes a lead role with other HR members to drive organizational changes, talent management, and succession planning.
  • May or may not have people leadership responsibilities depending on division or department.


Bachelor's Degree required; MBA and SHRM/SHRM-CP preferred.

8+ years of experience working as an HR leader of a matrix organization preferred.

Proven track record with organizational development or talent development/management function

This position will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) with a target payout of 20% of the annual base salary.

Work locations of each position will be determined during the hiring process. Each work location will depend on business needs and the essential functions of the position.
