Based in Vancouver, the Analyst, FP&A will work with various team members to deliver the FP&A team's mandate and priorities with excellence. Being a strategic and trusted analytical resource within the FP&A Team supporting analysis and reporting for the CFO and other senior leaders will be the center of the role. For success with FP&A, it is key that the individual utilize interpersonal skills to become a trusted business partner to Corporate and Operational Departments across the organization.

As an Analyst, FP&A You Will:
  • Key participant in the annual budget process and forecasts. Analysis of performance versus plan, understanding drivers of differences vs. prior budgets/forecasts, understanding performance against current strategy, and what next steps should be considered.
  • Produce management reporting and analysis, driving key insights, recommendations, and actionable next steps.
  • Generating a solid understanding of the business and the underlying contractual terms of our fee streams to leverage that knowledge for execution of required tasks and for discussion with business leaders.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational and performance data from various internal and external sources. Ensure consistency and accuracy across all analysis and reporting.
  • Create and manage complex financial models to support forecasts of specific items and facilitate decision making.
  • Develop and update presentations for both internal and external audiences. Effectively communicate financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to all stakeholders, considering the audience.
  • Prepare data analytics and reporting utilizing automation where appropriate. Finance transformation is a big priority for the company therefore supporting the evolution of the analytics journey and driving process efficiencies to get to insights faster and easier is imperative.
  • Support the development and financial review of business cases for investment and corporate projects when required.
  • Participate in process enhancements and efficiencies as well as support best-in-class system implementation.
Your Background:
  • University degree with major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics. Holding an MBA, CFA, CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Experienced Analyst with minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance and Accounting, Investment Banking, or Real Estate.
  • Business partner experience with strong interpersonal skills that have generated strong business relationships as well as fluency with management level deliverables are considered huge assets.
  • Strong financial modelling experience; familiar with "what if" scenario mapping and ability to visualize and prepare ad hoc financial analysis that is laid out in a clear way for others to be able to follow.
  • Displays strong aptitude and knowledge of working with technology in a finance environment.
  • Highly beneficial if you have prior experience with data query, transformation and visualization tools such as SQL and PowerBI, and ERP and CPM systems such as Yardi and Anaplan.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting/finance principles (GAAP/IFRS) and operational finance.
  • Results-oriented, agile, analytical and collaborative.


The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $95,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
