POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Ministry Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis, business development, and business performance of the health system. As an integral part of the OSF Ministry Financial Planning and Analysis team, the Senior Ministry Financial Analyst will assist with the development of processes and financial acumen throughout the system to deliver on the mission of OSF.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 5 years of Finance experience with at least 3 years in the Healthcare Industry
Other skills/knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Master's level coursework
  • Experience with Finance in an integrated healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies, mergers and acquisitions, benchmarking or financial planning
  • Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc.
  • Experience with database and decision support systems
  • Licensure/Certifications: CPA, CMA, CHFP, or PMP certification
Other requirements/information:
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data and transform into useable information to address operational needs
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines; strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly; and strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers
