More Than Just a Position, It's a Career
We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Accounting Analyst within Caterpillar, focusing on the Track-type Tractor manufacturing sector. This role is integral to the Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP) division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to assess facility performance and ensure accountability.
- Lead financial planning and analysis for various functional areas within the facility.
- Deliver actionable and strategic insights through thorough examination of financial results.
- Manage and execute investment analyses (Discounted Cash Flow) while providing financial insights on key facility initiatives.
- Facilitate strategic discussions aimed at enhancing financial and operational performance and support upper management in strategic business unit planning.
- Oversee the tracking and accountability of the facility's Operational Performance and Cost Control Improvement Agenda.
- Support and lead initiatives focused on sustainable cost reduction in collaboration with business partners.
- Mentor and develop the onsite team and overseas center of excellence (COE) team members through effective coaching.
- Educational Background: A four-year degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in analytical techniques and tools; capable of identifying root causes of organizational challenges and proposing viable solutions.
- Decision-Making Abilities: Familiarity with decision-making processes and tools; skilled in analyzing situations to make informed and productive decisions.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial analysis tools and methodologies; adept at interpreting financial data and drawing accurate conclusions.
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; able to handle multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in communication concepts and techniques; capable of clearly conveying and interpreting ideas and information.
- Professional Certification: CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- MBA or a master's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience with SAP.
- Willingness to learn new tools such as Alteryx, Axiom, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- This role is a full-time hybrid position requiring a blend of in-office and remote work.
