More Than Just a Position, It's a Pathway to Growth
We are excited to present an opportunity for a Lead Financial Analyst to become a vital member of our team, focusing on the Track-type Tractor manufacturing sector. This role is integral to the Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP) division at Caterpillar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial assessments to gauge facility performance and ensure accountability.
- Direct the financial planning and analysis for various operational sectors within the facility.
- Deliver strategic insights through comprehensive evaluations of financial outcomes.
- Manage and finalize investment assessments (Discounted Cash Flow) while offering financial counsel on key facility initiatives.
- Engage in strategic facilitation to enhance financial and operational outcomes and support strategic planning for senior management.
- Oversee the monitoring and accountability of the facility's Operational Performance and Cost Control Improvement Agenda.
- Champion projects aimed at sustainable cost reductions through collaboration with business units.
- Foster team development as a mentor for both onsite and overseas center of excellence (COE) team members.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in analytical techniques and tools; capable of identifying root causes of organizational challenges and proposing effective solutions.
- Decision-Making Abilities: Familiarity with decision-making processes and tools; adept at analyzing situations to make informed and productive decisions.
- Financial Acumen: Knowledgeable in financial analysis methodologies; skilled in interpreting and drawing conclusions from financial data.
- Prioritization Skills: Effective self-management practices; capable of handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Communication Proficiency: Strong understanding of communication strategies; able to convey and interpret information accurately and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Advanced degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience with SAP.
- Willingness to learn new analytical tools such as Alteryx, Axiom, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Additional Information:
- This role is a full-time, hybrid position requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.
