Responsible for supporting the day-to-day marketing needs of Wasserman’s media and post-career clients by accomplishing client related sales, media, and marketing efforts.  This includes talent partnerships, high end gifting, public relations, digital marketing, social media, and content development, as well as participating in new business development efforts. These efforts will consist of prospecting and closing brand partnerships, sales reporting and partnership activation.  Provide high-level administrative support for clients, agents and marketing leadership. 

This role must sit in our Brooklyn office and work a hybrid schedule.

Duties: 

High focus on sales, client service, networking and market research; responsible for prospecting, outbound sales calls and pitches.

Establishes brand, agency and media relationships that lead to brand partnerships.

Participate in client pitches, meetings and presentations; negotiate deals and oversee negotiation of deals on behalf of the clients/agents.

Secure offers and present to responsible agent and client service teams

Work closely with the larger talent marketing team to drive brand partnership opportunities for clients across all sports.  

Assist marketing leadership with managing relationships with existing partners; ensures the client’s contracts are fulfilled.

Manage incoming queries for clients; answer, screen, and direct incoming marketing leads ensuring a high level of professional customer service and confidentiality.

Travel for sales pitches, client activations and industry events on behalf on Wasserman’s brand partnership efforts.

Maintain and cultivate relationships with networks, teams and sport media partners.

Share progress reports and track revenue against the broadcast division at Wasserman as well as cultivate a firm understanding of the industry at large.

Stay current on market trends, deals done with industry competitors and non-Wasserman talent.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (sports management, sales, marketing, communications, or public relations a plus).

3-5 years of experience in relevant role, with an advanced understanding of the market for media personalities, coaches and other sports executives.

Demonstrate existing partnership sales success and rolodex conducive to building an immediate pipeline.

Possess persuasiveness skills to successfully negotiate on behalf of the client’s interests.

Position requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Ability to prospect and research marketing and media partnerships on behalf of the clients.

Strong understanding of social/digital media.

Well-developed communication skills, creative thinking and writing skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Requires self-management and project management abilities.

Ability to build strong, lasting relationships internally and externally.

Ability to anticipate problems and manage expectations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations. Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and significant initiative.

Benefits

Base salary range: $75k - $75k, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
