Position: Marketing Manager

Reports To: Senior Vice President, Development, Marketing & Communications

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Goodwill Industries of Greater New York. This position requires a dynamic and innovative marketer who is committed to sustainability and enhancing employment opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a results-oriented mindset, coupled with strong communication abilities. This role will focus on developing and executing effective marketing strategies aimed at engaging target audiences, enhancing donor and shopper retention, and promoting Goodwill's mission-driven programs.

Core Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with internal teams to formulate and implement marketing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Creating marketing campaigns with defined goals and metrics; gathering and analyzing data to refine strategies.
  • Managing social media initiatives:
    • Establishing a comprehensive social media calendar to ensure impactful engagement across digital platforms.
    • Utilizing social media to strengthen partnerships and enhance Goodwill's thought leadership.
    • Producing clear and compelling social media content.
    • Executing effective digital marketing campaigns.
    • Overseeing both paid and organic social media strategies.
    • Regularly reviewing analytics to inform marketing approaches.
  • Coordinating with website consultants to maintain up-to-date and relevant website content.
  • Overseeing email marketing efforts:
    • Drafting and reviewing all email communications.
    • Managing email audience segmentation to meet campaign objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Donated Retail Goods team to address retail marketing requirements:
    • Supervising the creation and distribution of retail marketing materials.
    • Leading marketing initiatives for new store openings, including graphic design and local outreach campaigns.
    • Analyzing data to evaluate marketing effectiveness and shopper feedback.
  • Developing print and digital content for various external stakeholders, including funders and community partners.
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Tracking project progress and budget alignment with annual goals.
  • Providing support for special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in diverse marketing environments.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting concise content.
  • Proven success in utilizing various marketing channels to achieve broader organizational goals.
  • Experience with online marketing, social media, and email platforms.
  • Strong storytelling abilities to effectively communicate Goodwill's mission.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in data analysis and project management.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
