As the Licoreria Sales Manager, you will oversee the merchandising, quality, presentation, assortment, and standards of the Licoreria sales and on a daily basis. As the leader of this new area, you will ensure an excellent level of customer service throughout the department by leading and training a knowledgeable, motivated, and engaged team. This role will be responsible for cultivating a clientele and providing “concierge” level service and outreach to our growing customer base. You will also oversee the department’s budget, financials, sales expectations, and goals. This role will also be responsible for determining the unique assortment found in our Mercado store formats that is aligned with our Authentic Mexican Food Experience Strategy. In this role, you will work alongside other group team leaders to provide an exceptional and authentic Mercado experience for all store visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Licoreria department, including but not limited to: budget, sales, orders, staffing, training, goals, etc. Highly knowledgeable about wines and spirits, including their process, sourcing, storytelling, flavors and recipes Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and availability of product. Ensure department effectiveness by overseeing labor and schedules. Provide daily direction, support, and coaching/feedback to associates Responsible for hiring of associates and management of associate performance. Oversee the department’s budget, financials, sales expectations, and goals. Maintain product assortment: Has ability to perform “spot buys” Builds unique assortments for Costa Mesa Mercado in the spirts and wine categories. Recommends and partners on assortment for other Northgate stores. Meets and negotiates with suppliers. Coordinates with Corporate teams for item set up, distribution, costing, pricing, and other administrative support functions.

Create synergy programs within the Costa Mesa Mercado store partners Utilize a sales-driven personality to actively engage with and understand client needs. Uphold Northgate’s core values. Fairly enforce all company policies and ensure all local, state and federal laws are adhered to. Create, instill, and maintain a culture of excellent customer service led by product knowledge and promotion of products. Ensure the training and development as well as the product knowledge of associates while maintaining an engaging, safe and issue-free work environment. Maintain food safety compliance as well as ensure regulatory standards are being followed and achieved consistently. Responsible for onboarding and training of new associates as Northgate continues to expand to other store concepts Develop and maintain list of preferred and interested customer/clients that will be contacted via SMS/email/phone calls to build sales relationships and enhance customer engagement. Identifies internal and external partnerships to drive traffic and sales to the department. Collaborate with other group team leaders, Marketing department, and vendor partners as needed. Implement and maintain a cleanliness plan for the department, including preventive maintenance of the department’s equipment. Enforce proper execution of all company programs related to the department. Oversee and keep control of quantities on hand and supplies ordered. Recommends/coordinates Marketing related content to support sales. Create and coordinate tastings and related events centered around spirits, focusing initially on Costa Mesa Mercado and then expanding to other stores. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS

21 years of age or older At least 2 years of people management experience 2 - 5 years working with beer/wine and spirits or product-adjacent environment in a sales environment Demonstrated expertise in related product knowledge and high-touch customer service and relationships. Previous experience in buying and sorting products Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) Preferred Requirements

Previous experience in managing people or sales team Basic computer skills Ability to work weekends if needed Ability to understand financial reports. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Customer service mindset with ability to solve customer inquiries and assist customers with making purchases. Pay Range: $78,520.00 to $109,954.00 USD
