Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to join its Institutional Business Development team. This individual will focus on developing and maintaining the CRM (Salesforce) database and providing sales reporting to IBD leadership and coverage teams. The role involves working with IBD Client & Business Operations team alongside the Blue Owl IT reporting. This includes the data integrity of the CRM, creation of activity reporting and project management. The role requires a combination of Salesforce CRM skills and expertise and experience in designing Tableau reports and SQL databases. The ideal candidate is collaborative and detail-oriented with an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to senior leadership and provide insightful analysis to support the firm's growing institutional client franchise.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design, create solutions, and implement customizations to the CRM and sales reporting process.
  • Manage and optimize our Salesforce CRM system to track client interactions, sales, and service activities.
  • Utilize Tableau Cloud to organize and maintain set of reports, and lead the development of management reports to support monitoring and analysis of fundraising and client coverage.
  • Generate and analyze reports to track key performance metrics, client engagement, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of client data, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Handle multiple Salesforce CRM projects in a fast-paced business environment, prioritizing work efforts to ensure projects stay on track to hit deadlines.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of CRM Salesforce.
  • Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work directly with sales professionals and other team members across regions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience as a CRM Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on client relationship management.
  • Financial services experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM system, experience in data analysis and reporting, Tableau design and reporting experience and SQL.
  • Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and collaborative team-oriented disposition
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to grasp and distill complex concepts
  • Self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required
  • Excellent attention to detail with high standard for precision
  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented problem-solver
  • High degree of discretion with the ability to handle proprietary and/or sensitive information regularly and with integrity

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $130,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
