St. Anne's-Belfield School seeks a full-time Lower School (K-4) Academic and Learning Support Specialist committed to working directly with students to build their competence and confidence as learners, and to supporting and educating faculty on effective classroom strategies that target learning diversity. Qualified candidates will provide both push-in student support during classes as well as individual and small group pull-out interventions to support student progress toward proficiency with academic skills and content.

The Lower School Academic and Learning Support Specialist will serve on the Lower School student support team and the All-School academic support team. This Academic and Learning Support Specialist will coordinate and interpret the results of psychoeducational evaluations for faculty and parents to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications based on findings. This position will also engage faculty in the latest research about differentiation and academic diversity.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and proactive individual looking to form impactful relationships with students and communicate closely and collaborate with faculty and families.

Candidates should possess the following expertise and experience:

* A firm belief in the concept of growth mindset and an integrated approach to teaching and learning.

* Commitment to inspiring resilience, optimism, and social-emotional well-being in lower school students.

* A desire to work in a highly collaborative professional context with humility and a sense of humor.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills.

* Knowledge of current educational research, and experience in delivering effective intervention strategies and assistive technologies.

* Ability to interpret and translate data from psychoeducational testing instruments, and a comprehensive understanding of differentiated instructional strategies across subject areas.

* Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or another related field.
