As a Class Checker, you will play a critical role in monitoring and recording the attendance of student-athletes, ensuring their academic success and compliance with university regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record class attendance of student-athletes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Receive and review schedules of classes for which to check attendance, ensuring timely and efficient attendance monitoring
  • Participate in training sessions with Academic Affairs staff to understand expectations for monitoring, recording, and reporting attendance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and academic staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns from student-athletes, coaches, and academic staff

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Several years of work experience in any field, with a strong emphasis on customer service and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and a commitment to upholding university policies and regulations
  • Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to arrive on time and stay for extended periods in a designated class location
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with experience in data entry and record-keeping
