Job Description PURPOSE:

The Manager, Public Affairs is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategy and managing the execution of internal and external public affairs and advocacy programs to protect and enhance AbbVie's and product brand reputation and valuation, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external influences and stakeholders. Position must be able to think strategically and provide thoughtful counsel to a broad range of internal and external contacts across all levels of management. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and protect AbbVie reputation, help identify high impact internal and external communications opportunities, engage key stakeholders, and provide effective counsel to business leaders, based on a good understanding of businesses and therapeutic areas, industry, stakeholder dynamic and competitive landscape

Develop and manage corporate brand and reputation plans to execute the approach and programs including CSR strategies and initiatives for our presence in community

Develop and drive employee engagement and communications strategy and tactics, exploring and evaluating best practices and new ways of engaging with employees, including formats, channels, messaging, and the like.

Propose and lead brand communication and programs playing an active role within brand teams, working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues, securing buy-in and budget, and ensuring deliverables on time.

Execute strategic patient advocacy programs and engagement with stakeholders to shape the environment, supporting access to best treatment standards and quality of care through disease awareness and patient education.

Engage lay and industry trade media, thought leaders, influencers and key opinion leaders from various channels based on an understanding/awareness of leading/emerging/innovative PR trend, media dynamic, tactics, and new channels that drive impact.

Develop corporate, employee, and brand materials and manage corporate website and AbbVie mobile news application.

Help manage a review process for external communications materials to ensure smooth review and to meet communication deadlines.

Manage the sponsorships, grants and other forms of support for patient groups and non-profit organization following OEC, Legal and other applicable regulations and policies.

Manage resources including agencies and budgets on programs ensuring the performance and quality of work. STAKEHOLDERS:

Patient organizations

NGOs

Medical societies

National assembly

Other stakeholders who can impact AbbVie reputation and business

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

University or Higher degree required (communications, PR, public affairs or marketing or public

health majors preferred, but not limited)

More than 8 years of experience in communication and public affairs or stakeholder relationships or corporate affairs or external affairs or the equivalent roles

A strong track record and rich experience of disease awareness in healthcare is a must

Fluency in Korean and English required (verbal and written) SKILLS:

Project management within matrix organizations and deadlines with organized approach

Strategic communications and influencing skills or experience to build and manage partnerships

and network with various internal and external stakeholders

Adaptable capability and experience to utilize traditional and new media to convey messages

Analysis and interpretation of data and trend

Ability or experience to work cross-functionally to achieve shared goals
