Job Summary:

As a Food Service Worker with Lincoln Public Schools, you will play a vital role in ensuring the daily functioning of our Food Service program. Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, you will collaborate with a team of professionals to prepare and serve nutritious meals to our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and serve meals, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Food Service Director.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Food Service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
