PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for preparing property financial statements and owner reporting packages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Preparing bank reconciliations for operating, investment and escrow bank accounts. Calculate and record monthly management, leasing, and co-broker fees and owner remittances. Interface A/R and A/P activity into the GL. Reconcile tenant reports and other supporting schedules to the general ledger. Prepare and enter journal entries for reclassifications, non-tenant deposits, closings, etc. Prepare financial statements and supporting reports for owner distribution. Initiate cash transfers and owner distributions. Approve cash balances for A/P disbursements. Process month end closes on MRI. Work with Lease Administration, Cash Management, A/P, Corporate Accounting, and Property Management on property and tenant questions. Prepare merchant dues check requisitions. Research and resolve stale dated checks. Set up new properties and bank accounts in MRI. Prepare budget packages. Audit lease commission files for Corporate. Perform other essential functions as may develop over time, and/or as assigned by management.

OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS: Compute and perform excess cash distributions, as requested. Monitor excessive cash balances and recommend investment opportunities. Prepare the year-end audit packages. Review the auditor workpapers and record the appropriate entries. Prepare special reports and supporting schedules as required by specific owners. Diligently perform other duties assigned by employee's supervisor.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED: High School diploma and college-equivalent Accounting

Courses; 2-3 years accounting experience; Excel skills

PREFERRED: Experience with GL and Accounting software

SOFTWARE USED: MRI; Microsoft Office, LeasComm

REPORTS TO: Assistant Controller

SUPERVISES: N/A

PAYROLL STATUS: Exempt
