Reporting to the Director, Accounting, the Sr Manager, Accounting is responsible to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting operations. The role will work within the Record to Report (RTR) team to implement new areas within the Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain (FP&SC) Magenta Services group and assist with process improvement to achieve industry best practices within and in accordance with the US GAAP, IFRS and DT policies, procedures and framework. This position will manage and may be responsible for: *Development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems. *Journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, processing period close general ledger, and clearing open items in managed accounts. *Overseeing asset transfers and performining impairment tests. *Final level review of the balance sheet analysis, income statement analysis, monthly financial review (MFR). *Design reviews of operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. *Monitoring and ensuring accurate financial results through a deep and solid understanding of the transactional flow through the various operational systems and the ERP system including sub-modules to monitor and ensure accurate financial results. *Ensuring external reporting, ad-hoc reports, operational reporting, and Subscriber level reporting are complete, as well as any other accouting-related work completed by the team. *Prepare and review reconciliations for Prepaid, Wholesale/Roaming, Commissions, and Third-Party; acting as an SMR to provide final level review of work completed by the team around manual monthly reconciliation for accurate financial results. *Ensuring integration of new products and services within the accounting records. *Ensuring the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. *Selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This position will participate in quarterly reviews, annual audits and SOX control monitoring/testing and is responsible for presenting results for area of ownership to upper management, external auditors and business partners. This position must also collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technology development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions, deliver and implement projects, processes, and/or programs that improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations, or enhance service to the business and customers.
