The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator performs duties associated with the firm's marketing budget, events, seminars, calendar, social media, blogs, newsletters, advertising, and website and reports directly to the Director of Administration.

The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Internal and external communication efforts, which may include design, copy writing, and distributing material
  • Assists practice groups, providing proactive support for events, seminars, and conference sponsorships
  • Tracking of marketing project deliverables/firm analytics
  • Planning/creation/design and placement of advertising
  • Preparation/coordination of submissions to legal directories
  • Preparation of signage and purchasing giveaways
  • Coordination of marketing-related firm receptions
  • Maintenance of client contact lists; creation and distribution of related materials
  • Assist attorneys with updating web bios and profiles and practice area descriptions
  • Work with attorneys to create and maintain constant flow of articles for blogs
  • Proactive role in sustaining ongoing social media strategies
  • Maintenance of web content/website
  • Prepare and assemble pitch materials, presentations and RFP responses
  • Prepare and post client alerts, announcements and other updates for distribution by email, to the website and through social media
  • Write and edit internal and external communications, including article abstracts, press releases and blogs for the website and social media pages, and articles for internal distribution
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational and detail skills, combined with the ability to multitask are a must. Marketing, communications or graphic design experience is required. A degree in Communications or Graphic Design is preferred. Knowledge and experience with all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google and others. Proficiency in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Create Cloud (Acrobat Pro DC, InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) required. Must have knowledge and experience blogging. Three years of experience working with a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
