Job Function
Lead the implementation and ongoing adherence to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Review and analyze sales contracts, agreements, and other relevant documents to determine proper revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 guidelines.
Ensure accurate and timely billing activities aligned with ASC 606 requirements.
Oversee reconciliation of revenue accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.
Prepare and review revenue-related financial reports, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 disclosure requirements.
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Drive initiatives to streamline and optimize revenue recognition processes in alignment with ASC 606 guidelines.
Collaborate closely with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure consistent interpretation and application of ASC 606 guidelines across the organization.
Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on ASC 606 principles and their implications on revenue recognition practices .
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
CPA certification strongly preferred.
4-7+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with a focus on ASC 606 implementation and compliance.
In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and their practical application.
Proficiency in accounting software NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
