About the Role
Prepare the organization for an imminent IPO by enhancing internal controls with a focus on SOX compliance.

Continuously refine accounting policies while drafting and revising pertinent memos related to Revenue, Expenses, Property, Plant and Equipment, Equity, Leases, Debt, Investments, and more.

Interpret and implement new accounting standards to ensure alignment with operational practices.
Draft technical accounting memoranda for intricate transactions, including Equity, Debt, and Business Combinations.
Examine complex client contracts to validate revenue recognition, billing timelines, and deferred revenue.

Compile consolidated financial statements from various subsidiary entities with minimal oversight, including both direct and indirect cash flow statements.

Oversee the annual financial statement audit under PCAOB standards; liaise with external auditors and manage the internal team to ensure timely delivery of PBC items.

Facilitate the month-end closing process, supervising Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, and assisting the Controller with technical accounting issues and the CFO with cash flow management and forecasting.

Collaborate with staff to ensure monthly financial statement variances are clarified and discrepancies are resolved.
Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards to confirm all Balance Sheet items are reconciled monthly.

Foster the professional development of junior and mid-level accounting personnel.
Evaluate, revise, and approve the work of junior and mid-level accountants to ensure accurate accounting practices and proper expense allocation across departments.

Engage with external tax advisors to provide necessary information for tax filings and provisions, and collaborate with the Controller, General Counsel, and HR Manager to guarantee compliance with state and local filing requirements.

Assist the Controller and CFO with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.

Your Experience
12+ years of experience demonstrating a commitment to resolving accounting challenges and establishing order from disorder.
Exceptional technical accounting and analytical abilities, enabling you to connect complex issues and develop comprehensive, scalable solutions.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
CPA designation is highly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with NetSuite accounting software is advantageous, particularly with Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Revenue Recognition modules.

A leadership and mentorship approach that encourages meticulous attention to detail among junior and mid-level accounting staff.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $135,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $175,000/year in our highest geographic market.
Compensation is influenced by several factors, including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
