**Sharing a common love of anime and Japanese culture**

SPJA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the unique and deep culture that surrounds Japanese animation. Our roots originated from Cal Animage Alpha, an anime club at UC Berkeley, which co-sponsored the first Anime Expo in 1992, along with its predecessor Anime Con in 1991.

Since then, SPJA has grown exponentially in its endeavors, with Anime Expo becoming the largest anime convention in North America, as well as establishing B2B conference Project Anime, and partnering with World Cosplay Summit to organize its US preliminary. With each unique event we produce, our purpose never strays we aim to promote, celebrate, and educate the public about Japanese animation, manga, video games, and traditional culture.

**What we are looking for:** We are looking for fun, dynamic, hard-working individuals to join our expanding team.

**Purpose of this role:** The Registration & Ticketing Event Coordinator will support all services that pertain to vendors and staff in association with Registration and Ticketing. Key responsibilities include coordinating procedures and systems, event build, onsite staffing, reporting and analysis, and ensuring superior customer service.

**Experience:** Prior experience in registration, ticketing or project management preferred.

**Essential Functions:** The major areas of responsibility include:

* Communication and Customer Service: Support attendee and partner communication regarding registration, ticketing, mailing, RFID activation, and streaming procedures. Coordinate customer service for registration and ticketing department. Coordinate customer support services for livestream and video-on-demand.

* Registration & Ticketing Strategy and Reporting: Assist in creating sales, operation, and financial analytics.

* Registration & Ticketing Support: Assist with the allocation and processing of badge and event ticket distribution including but not limited to badge inventory, mailing fulfillment, onsite RFID logistics, external communication plans, and customer service.

* Streaming and Video-on-Demand Support: Coordinate pre-show and onsite sales and customer service operations for livestreaming and video-on-demand.

* Project Coordination: Ensure streamlined development and execution through planning, monitoring, communication, and team management. Assist with developing schedules and driving deadlines.

* Contract Management: Assist in contract management including, but not limited to drafting, reviewing, and fulfillment of contracts. Assist in ensuring all parties carry out their contractual obligations after an agreement is signed.

* Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors involved with set-up, break-down, logistics, layouts, registration, and security. Serves as a point-of-contact for all day-to-day related issues.

* Staff Management: Help manage all staff, volunteers, and aspects of department including, but not limited to: calendar management, internal and external communication, and SPJA policy enforcement. Streamline communication among volunteer departments to ensure adherence to SPJA processes and procedures. Cross trains staff as needed.

* Recruitment: Works with volunteer resources to ensure departments are appropriately staffed and informed. Assist in identifying different staffing solutions for delivering work and coordinate with temp staff agencies to guarantee departments are appropriately staffed, scheduled, and informed.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired:**

* 1 year of experience in registration, ticketing, or project management.

* Attention to detail, thoroughness, and organization.

* High proficiency with Excel and database management.

* Experience with ticketing systems, technology, and services.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Must remain calm and level-headed under pressure. Must also consistently demonstrate quality work and good judgment.

* Must possess strong leadership skills. Must be able to lead and supervise volunteers, vendors, and business partners in an organized fashion in fast-paced situations. Ability to work amicably with a variety of personalities while maintaining professionalism.

* Must possess flexible, strong communication skills under pressure.

* Must have reliable, independent transportation with the ability to travel throughout Southern California.

* Must be able to attend meetings, conferences, and events as necessary.

**Physical Demands & Work Environment:**

* The duties of this position are performed indoors in a business/office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.

* During convention, this individual must have the ability to stand/walk for up to four hours at a time as there is constant walking required during the convention.

* The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copier, computer printer, etc.

* The person in this position frequently communicates verbally with coworkers, supervisors and volunteers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
