The Maintenance Process Lead is responsible for assisting in the administration and maintenance of Vestas tools and equipment; conducting reporting/inspection procedures; and assisting with day-to-day maintenance initiatives within the factory location. This role involves leading and directing a maintenance team in the safe execution of daily activities. The Maintenance Team is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating instruments and machines responsible for the manufacturing of turbine components. Approximately 30% of the time will be spent on processes, with the remaining 70% focused on leadership and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisors to coordinate and execute activities related to maintenance and facilities.
Lead the maintenance team in repairing and maintaining production machines and factory equipment.
Lead the maintenance team in emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
Lead the maintenance team in scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Lead day-to-day maintenance activities, including managing work orders and PM schedules.
Communicate concerns and complaints to appropriate departments for resolution.
Assist in executing the 'Equipment Downtime Escalation Plan'.
Coordinate the work order process and optimize workflow.
Understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints and symbols.
Train and guide less experienced maintenance team members and equipment operators.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by following safety protocols and performing routine housekeeping.
Maintain EAM database of equipment and PM schedules.
Facilitate factory tool calibrations and maintain all tool calibration requirements.
Set an example as a Vestas ambassador, showing focus on core values.
Conduct daily/monthly safety inspections and ensure proper PPE usage.
Requisition tools, equipment, parts, instruments, and supplies.
Allocate resources to support production schedules.
Promote workplace safety and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Communicate safety hazards and report incidents.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
Inspect and test shop equipment and instruments for quality control.
Track process indicators, spare parts/labor consumption, and equipment performance.
Ensure customer delivery expectations are met.
Inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
Knowledge of shop tools and tool purchasing.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Competencies:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years' experience or equivalent training in maintenance.
Ability to work in teams, self-manage tasks, and schedule effectively.
Adaptability and flexibility.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other software programs.
Comfortable speaking in front of groups.
Ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of manufacturing plant maintenance preferred.
Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment.
