Position Summary:
The Process Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the production team within their designated area. This position involves leading a crew to ensure the safe and efficient execution of daily production objectives while balancing leadership and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management: Ensure the team's adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity standards. Proactively address any challenges that may impact these areas.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and ownership among team members.
- Goal Translation: Convert leadership goals into actionable tasks and drive the completion of production schedules.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the use of employees, materials, and equipment to maximize output while adhering to organizational policies.
- Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with team members and support groups to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Coaching: Mentor team members and temporary employees to enhance their performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Oversee the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring they are trained in safety protocols.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications within the process area.
- Participate in quality inspections and lead corrective action initiatives for any identified defects.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate training for new team members and track their progress toward independent work readiness.
Administrative Duties:
- Provide feedback on team performance and assist in evaluations.
- Monitor process performance and recommend improvements to reduce defects and enhance quality.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a process area.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials, while adhering to safety standards.
