POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Business Process Improvement Leader for Moss will serve as a functional leader within the organization, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). You will use your proven process improvement and project management skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, every day The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of incremental change initiatives across a diverse EH&S organization, act as a thought leader on a range of EH&S process and financial-related issues and exhibit the Company’s core values in interfacing with other senior leaders and operations personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the Leader of the EH&S Business Process structure for all EH&S at the Enterprise level to ensure Moss drives towards standardization in applications and processes
Owner of the EH&S Business Process and applications templates and common ways of working
Ensure that all enhancements and changes to the design are evaluated for Enterprise applicability and only deviate where legal and regulatory requirements dictate. Focus on standard “out of the box” functionality and minimize customization
Ensure business has prioritized and sponsored the enhancements, and partner with IT through the governance process
Collaborate with the business to Adopt, Optimize and Extend, where applicable, the appropriate process
Drive value from our EH&S Business Process application investments
Work with business leaders to support adoption of existing EH&S applications and processes to change and improve “the way we work”
Work with business leaders and IT to optimize existing EH&S processes through application enhancements that drive efficiency and value-added capability
Support and review EH&S operational process requirements for enhancements prepared by the business
Manage the EH&S Business Process upgrades that are deployed
Ensure new EH&S Business Process functionality/change is communicated to the business
Prepare for any EH&S Business Process “end of life” scenarios and work to develop replacement alternatives
Ensure that new EH&S Business Process applications are scalable for Enterprise applicability
Take a leadership role in ensuring that new EH&S operational applications are properly integrated with existing applications and account for all “cross functional” system and process impacts
Take a leadership role in EH&S project execution
Work with IT to establish operational EH&S Business Process priorities
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the EH&S Business Process roadmap that supports the EH&S business strategy and aligns with the Moss strategy
Accountable for EH&S Business Process Innovation of Applications and Processes
Proactively investigate and gain knowledge of EH&S trends and advancements in EH&S technology, in conjunction with the EH&S business strategy
Present any relevant new EH&S technology that will significantly impact the achievement of the EH&S business objectives
Identify opportunities within the EH&S organization to improve or provide Business Process data (KPI) to enhance decisions
Review the design and delivery of EH&S Business Process analytics applications and data integration points to ensure smooth transfer of information
Collaborate with Moss’s IT leadership to advance the use of electronic data interfaces and self-service applications, where possible, to create a paperless EH&S organization that drive efficiencies and partner engagement
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Systems
10+ years of experience in a mix of Consulting/Industry roles
5+ years of experience evaluating, designing, and implementing end to end processes and the associated policies, SOPs, and control systems
5+ years of proven Team Leadership
Expert in Business Process interdependencies
Experience with data analysis
Experience with budget management
Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
Proven success in a project coordination role
Possess a business, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking abilities with a focus on developing creative solutions
Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
Strong cross functional communication skills
Proactive, detail oriented, flexible, able to multi-task and team player
Possess a strong work ethic and exercise a high level of maturity with a positive attitude
MBA/CPA (Preferred)
Six Sigma/LEAN Certification (Preferred)
Ability to travel domestically (estimated at 20%)
