Security Clearance:

  • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
Position/Job Description:
  • Perform routine maintenance and optimizations on existing Microsoft Access databases.
  • Apply programming best practices alongside data integrity principles to provide and maintain an accurate and complete view of office deliverables.
  • Perform code tests and reviews to ensure high quality code is written.
  • Perform objective and milestone reviews with management to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Perform as-needed meetings with managers to gain insight into their processes and provide more efficient solutions.
  • Write documentation of existing code features and processes.
  • Debug any errors that arise during use of in-house software.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of building, maintaining, and administrating relational databases.
  • Strong knowledge of and/or experience with implementing database normalization principles.
  • Minimum 2 years of VBA (Note: this is not referring to VB.NET) programming experience, with a focus in maintaining legacy codebases.
  • Experience with writing performant SQL statements/queries in an environment that requires as much optimization as possible.
  • Experience with MS Access databases that are split into separate Frontends and Backends
  • Experience with MS Access/Excel form design and editing.
  • Any knowledge of GitHub, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server/SQLite is a bonus.
  • Front End Develpoment experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

High School or GED equivalent Technical school diploma
