Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper II Full Time to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities- Perform daily cleaning tasks in patient rooms, common areas, and other hospital facilities, adhering to strict infection control protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in departmental functions, including general cleaning, linen room duties, waste and soiled linen removal, and project functions as assigned by department management.
- Handle regulated medical waste, hazardous waste, chemo waste, soiled linen, and general waste, adhering to standards and protocols.
- Assist with special projects, including floor care, extracting, spotting, buffing, burnishing, stripping, and refinishing floors as required.
- Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers, demonstrating ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Actively participate in process improvement and quality care initiatives, adhering to new process improvements and providing feedback.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of housekeeping-related experience preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer knowledge and able to effectively access all programs needed for the job.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and comprehend English.
