Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, company paid life insurance, 401K with a generous employer match and additional benefits such as Free Legal Services and an Employee Loan Program We are seeking a HR Coordinator to support our growing teamPosition will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with a variety of functions listed below. This is position requires three days a week in office presence at our Mission Valley Office. RESPONSIBILITIES: Entering high volume new hires into the Payroll / HRIS system Audit and maintain accurate data in HRIS system such as contact information, EEO Classification, timekeeping set-up/access, garnishments, etc. High volume Employee Day to Day support including answering benefit/401K/and payroll related questions. Process garnishments, verification of employment, benefits, and taxes in the payroll system consistent with federal and state laws and regulations. Responsible for completing, organizing and relaying information to various reporting agencies as required by law (i.e. Unemployment, Worker's Compensation, Social Security Administration, EEO Reporting, etc.). Provide recruiting support including posting positions, resumes screening and initial phone screening. Process mail for both Human Resources and Payroll duties. Keep Electronic employment files up to date and orderly Complete termination paperwork as needed. Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and tax procedures. Recommend and Implement change where opportunities for efficiencies exist. Possess the ability to learn about tax laws, payroll deductions, tax rates and maximum allowances for 401k, HSA, and FICA. Assist with other areas of Human Resources including onboarding and benefits. Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with employment agreements. Compile data as needed for state audit requests. Actively participate in benefit enrollments and open enrollment decisions. Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation and sick accrual, tax deductions, EEO, benefit deductions, departmental heads, and turnover, among others). Perform other administrative duties and ad hoc task for the Payroll and Human Resources department Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree preferred Previous HR Assistant and/or Coordinator experience preferred Highly self-motivated and proactive Strong attention to detail Excellent MS office skills Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, to include confidential information
